There are daily departures to the Great
Barrier Reef, where you can swim (snorkel and dive), take a
fishing trip, or cruise the intricate patchwork of reefs and islands. The
day tours usually visit 2 or 3 different sites so you can experience the
diversity of the reefs. You can sail, or take a high speed modern catamaran
- Port Douglas has a modern fleet of boats, and professional operators to
ensure you have a safe and memorable day. Take a wander around the Marina
Mirage - you'll be impressed with the local fleet.
To experience the World Heritage Daintree
Rainforest, there is also a choice of many stunning
locations, and just as many tour options. Departing daily, most operators
take in Mossman Gorge, join a Daintree River cruise, and visit Cape
Tribulation beach/National Park. The local tour guides have an intimate
knowledge of the rainforest, and will give you a greater understanding of
the significance of this stunning place. Some operators travel further up
the Bloomfield Track to the Bloomfield River, Bloomfield Falls and Cooktown,
with some tours also including glimpses of the Australian Outback with it's
rich textures and colourful history.
Most tours & charters are all inclusive - meaning that lunch,
refreshments and most of the days activities are included in the price.
Other tours and charters available from Port Douglas Daintree include:
Skyrail & Kuranda Scenic Train, Tablelands & Outback, Whitewater
Rafting & Ballooning, Cairns and region, Mission Beach, Cooktown and the
